The bell itself is VERY nice. I've had mine on my classic Raleigh all summer and it still looks like new. The ring is loud, but not too loud and the mechanism seems well made and sturdy. The only downside (and it's possible I just don't understand how this is supposed to work) is that the ring that goes over the handlebars is quite a bit too large for road bike handlebars. Also, there's no adjustment available. Fortunately, I had the connection ring gizmo from my former bike bell and that fit the new bell perfectly. All in all, still a great deal! And for what it's worth, I recently saw the same bell in my favorite bicycle store selling for four times the money!
