I purchased two different bells and was very happy with both. The first was the Crane Suzu Lever Strike Brass Bell. The fact that it was made in Japan and the great reviews about its real brass sound quality was the reason I purchased it. I really love the resonance of the bell. The only problem was that I felt like I wanted it to sound off more than once, and the system is a little slow to flick a few times rapidly because of the long strike. If you want just a single note, this bell is awesome. The bell is easy to put on, but more bulky than the Incredibell Duet.On the other hand THIS Brass Colored Incredibell Duet sounded very good too, I was surprised to learn that it was also made in Japan. Compared to the Crane Suzu it is not as loud and the resonance is not as long and beautify... however it is easier to install, smaller, and had exactly what I wanted, a quick firing ding dong (2 notes - one on the pull and the other on the release of the strike) sound that can be flicked several times in quick succession.I ended up buying and keeping both, installing them on both of my bikes. I'm very happy with them as they are excellent, you just need to know what kind of sound you want out of your bell. I think the Duet's sound is more like a bicycle bell, and will not confuse people as you attempt to pass them. After I purchased both bells I stopped by a bicycle store and noticed they had both colors of the Duet, in chrome and brass. The chrome sounded almost the same, I was surprised... if not the same. So if you want a silver look instead of brass, I don't think you will be sorry. The sound on all the bells was really nice.If you're deciding between the two, I think the Duet is slightly better because it does the job as a bicycle bell better. The fact that is about $5 less, is a bonus... but was not a factor for me.
