The color is not at all what I expected, but I actually prefer the bold red color instead of the burnt orange color in the pictures. My kids are not that picky, and they like the color red anyway, but I feel the need to point this out for potential customers who may be looking specifically for an orange helmet.Nice helmet for the money, fit good but looked big - liked the design but ended up going with a giro carbon fiber oneFits my eight year old like a glove; nice and light and not overly warm. The front visor is a bit flimsy and the strap could be better, but no complaints from me or my son.Bell is a benchmark for helmets. I've owned all kinds for many sports. Their name is so good I just assume their products are good.This helmet is not good. The straps/suspension system is a nightmare. The hardware shifts on the webbing, the kid can't adjust it, eventually it just comes undone. It's a total design fail if a youth helmet can get so totally out of adjustment just from normal use. Then it falls apart and the kid keeps using it without really understanding how badly the safety is compromised. So it it isn't fixed until you notice, and it really takes forever to put it back together, and then adjust it back to fit the kid.I hate it.My daughter's head is relatively round and her hair is somewhat long. This helmet was perfect for that. It is about 3/8" wider than the equivalent Giro helmets (too tight on the sides), has the wheel adjustment on the back (more snug for rounder heads than the elastic material in thriftier) Bell models, and avoids the internal MIPS plastic attachment buttons that catch on longer hair in some of Bell's earlier MIPS models.This helmet was a big hit with my grandson. He was excited to wear it right away and to take it inside of school when he rides his bike there. It fit perfectly right out of the box.The helmet is great and easy to adjust. My biggest complaint is the visor which pops off a lot. I'm sure it will go missing at some point. The stars are cute and my daughter likes it.My kid (13) has a small head for his age, this helmet fits perfect without making him look like he's wearing a toddler dinosaur helmet or loves the Cars movie. A normal adult looking helmet for a head his size was pretty hard to find.
