I actually use these for a different purpose than the norm. (My horse gets sores on her front feet about 6inches up from her hoof line she gets them from laying down in a rocky area and getting back up) so I flip these upside down so it lets the cut air dry while protecting her each time she goes to lay down again. These seem very durable. Seemed to have survived the snow and the mud puddles just fine! These are great boots for the $$ although within a week my boy had these ripped apart. He is hard on them, so if you have one that likes to run around and its "tough" on things may not be the boot for you. Otherwise the quality of them is really nice. My mare has no problem with the pair I got her, but she isn't rough on things. These are really good bell boots. I have bought them for a number of years, and they usually last the season easily. This year however, my silly gelding has decided to rip 4, yes 4, pairs of these off by chewing and playing with them in the night in his stall. We find them ripped clear through the rubber near the velcro closure. The last pair is still on for a month now, but I have a leather pair in stand by, just in case.Broke very quicklySo far so good. I bought these for one of my rescues that had therapeutic shoes put on and Farrier said she need boots. The fluffy ring seems great for long term wear which she will be doing. The price was great and the rubber seems pretty sturdy yet flexible.Update: these didn’t hold up as well as I’d have liked when there are comparable items for less. Mare tore these off within a couple weeks.I don’t like how I got his recommended size and it still rubbed his hoof wall and that the sheepskin looks like someone used my hair . The Velcro doesn’t last especially when you go to take them off I had to be careful the whole Velcro strap didn’t come all the way off the boots. He hasn’t even had them on for 12 hours and got rubs with just walking and standing in them . I do not recommendSturdy boots with super strong double elastic. I use them only for riding with one horse but they last at least 6 months.Going on month three and my horse has yet to destroy them, so worth the money so far.
