This is a great helmet for the price range that it's in. I only gave it 4 stars because I wouldn't call it "excellent" quality. But it's definitely a good quality helmet and it will be just fine for my daughter to use for a few summers. The big questions on these helmets on Amazon is size!?! I found it such a challenge to shop for helmets because Amazon has not done a stellar job of noting the age or size range for any of the helmets. I ended up buying this one based on other reviews that I read that gave a good size description. So, here it is! My daughter is almost 5 years old. She's a little on the small side. She wears a 4T in most things. I would describe her as petite. This helmet is labeled for 5+ years. It fits her a little bit loosely but I think I can adjust it and it will fit just fine and I think she'll be able to wear it for 2 or maybe 3 summers. I do plan to also post some of my own customer photos because I think that they will be helpful to others.On the other note based on Q&A I bought it for my 4 year old who has normal size head, it is definitely small for 4 year old. Luckily she did not like color but her 2 year old sister loved it and fit perfectly so I would say this helmet is good for 2-3 years old.My daughter loved it but I was not as pleased. The quality of materials is lacking. The styrofoam is totally exposed on the bottom (white area is not coated with anything - like a styrofoam cooler) and the stickers are not stuck on very well. It will serve her Ok for a while though.It is for 5+ age group. I ordered for my 3 yr old kid based on another review but it is too big for her. The strap is adjustable and the band at the back is elastic. So it should fit for those in age group 4.5 - 6.5 yrs. Looks sturdy as well.My daughter likes it a lot. The fit seems good, she is a tall 4 year old. Seems like we may get another year out of it. Good price:)Flimsy plastic + foam combo...hope the glue holds them together for a couple of years :DQuality is not goodI am very sorry I am unable to rate this other than it came as promised, seems very sturdy and is a great color. We adopted a family for Xmas so this went to a little girl that I do not even know so I do not know if she liked it or not.
